Over the last year, I have had an opportunity to speak with several realtors about their businesses.
I’ve also had an opportunity to work with a couple realtors to help improve their digital marketing.
It’s become very apparent that personal branding is essential to an agent’s growth and success.
In today’s video, I go over 4 real estate agent branding tips. (FYI: These tips work for any independent business owner.)

4 Real Estate Agent Branding Tips
1. Video, Video, Video!
It boggles my mind that very few real estate agents take the time to do video.
Video is inexpensive, easy to create, and the most powerful branding strategy available today.
This is where agents can really set themselves apart.
Nothing brands an agent better than video.
2. Create value-based content.
Most agents only post and share properties.
However, there is a ton of content they could be creating that potential clients would find useful.
Agents could write articles and create short videos that give tips for buyer and sellers.
How should sellers prep their homes to sell for top dollar?
What type of loans are available for buyers?
What kinds of mistakes to sellers make when staging their homes?
Current market information is super valuable.
This information could determine when someone sells or buys.
If an agent is sharing and updating market information then buyers and sellers are going to trust that agent with their purchase or sale.
Agents must be willing
3. Be congruent across all platforms.
Whether it is a website, social media or print advertising, the look of an agent’s brand should be the same.
With tools like Canva.com an agent can easily create branded material that is sized and customized to any platform.

A congruent presence both online and offline is essential for brand recognition.
When buyers and sellers start to recognize and agent’s brand AND get value-based content, they will seek out that agent to work with them.
4. Be consistent.
We live in a world where everyone wants results yesterday.
Unfortunately, a brand cannot be built in a week.
It takes time and consistent effort.
An agent should be creating one or two pieces of content every week.
Doing this for a month or two is not enough.
Consistent effort is needed for 6 months or more before an agent will start to see results.
Once the agent’s brand is established and the content is out there, the leads will come.
Trust the process.
Realtor branding is for the long haul and it will pay off.
