With all the noise on social media, you need to be posting regularly to get noticed.

Here are a couple things to keep in mind with scheduling your social media posts on any platform.

1. Don’t be too repetitive.

On Twitter you can get away with the same or similar tweets in a relatively short period of time.

That’s not as true on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

If you schedule a post on Facebook or LinkedIn the feed doesn’t move quite as quick.

People don’t want to follow someone who posts the same thing multiple times per day.

2. Mix in real time posts.

If you are scheduling everything then you are missing out on today’s current events.

There are many days that you can relate your business or industry to what’s happening in the world.

What’s in the news today?

Find common threads between your niche and the news.

This is how you create viral content.

3. Engage.

The key to all social media is to engage with others.

You need to schedule a post on Facebook to create engagement.

Automation does not work over the long term.

You should be scheduling post to get people to notice you and engage with you.

Without the engagement you will struggle to build a business with social media.
